esa home assessement so soon after PIP home assess was created by Nixon
Hello
I have recently had PIP home assessment in December 2016 , thankfully the higher level of both rates, and have just completed the ESA 50 form the second time in a year due to lost of paperwork by the DWP. I am in the support group presently. I have stated on the form to take into account the upset of having 3 forms in one year and the fact I have had a recent home medical and have and lots of supportive medical reports from all my doctors and consultants. Do you think the decision maker will take all this into account as I have been though so much with all the errors and cannot cope with it. I have been very unwell and had to spend so much of my limited energy dealing with sending so much information in to the DWP. I pray that they will take this into account and leave me in the support group as with PIP. I have no PIP review till 2022. It seems a waste of DWP time to make me have another so soon when I have up to date medical reports and have just had all the upset of a medical so recently. Will they take this into account , I really hope so. The impact on me is too much to deal with. I do understand they are 2 different things but surely they is some similarities between the two benefits as to reference of filling in the ESA and PIP forms
regards

Hi ticktock,
It will be the assessor who decides whether a face2face appointment is necessary in order for a recommendation to be made to DWP. DWP play no part in this process.
The criteria for ESA and PIP are very different, even in the areas where they appear to be similar. If you have sent in anytihng relating to PIP as evidence you will need to have made it clear how this also relates to PIP in order for it to help.
Don't rely on the assessor knowing anything about your other DWP claims, recent or historical. They will most likely not even know whether there are any other case files for you.
