ESa Wrag interview - still awaiting counselling was created by Scotboy
Hi, I understand the aim of ESA is to help you get well enough to return to some kind of normal life, and my GP has referred me for counselling, this was in January last year, and ESA wrag appointed Feb last year, as yet I have still not had an appointment, I had to move address and gp six months ago and this meant switched to another local centres waiting list. I have called the centre, and my go wroite to them, but they are very unresponsive and unhelpful on the phone. I'm not sure how this impacts on my upcoming esa wrag appointment as in past ones it has pretty much been taken into consideration im still awaiting counselling. To make matters worse ive moved address again, but not updated nay gp details as would prefer to keep the good gp i have found
I'm not sure if I need to prove anything at the interview, the health centre haven't sent any recent letters, I could record me calling them?.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I wouldn't agree that ESA is to you get well, that would suggest that it provides treatment and therapy and it doesn't provide either
I'm afraid I can't offer any comment on how your WRAG appointment will go, these are very much down to the advisor, you will have to wait and see what they say.

Ok thanks, I was under impression I wasn't being asked to do much more for the time being as was waiting treatment to try and improve my health

That doesn't usually stop JC+ advisors getting WRAG claimants to do Work Related Activity.
