Claim PIP, does this entitle me to anything else? was created by ellm62
Hello,
I live with my partner who works full time. I claim PIP with enhanced daily living and standard mobility for mental health issues including panic disorder, clinical depression, social anxiety disorder and agoraphobia. I did not have to attend an assessment and was awarded based on the evidence I provided (these included letters from my psychiatric doctor and GP explaining my treatment and medications).
I was told I could not apply for contribution based ESA or JSA because I had not made enough Class 1 National Insurance contribution for the qualifying years. I was told I could not claim income-related ESA or JSA because my partner works full time. I was told I could not claim Working Tax Credit as my partner is under 25.
We have just found out we are expecting our first baby and we will not be able to keep our heads above water with only PIP, HB, and CTR, along with Statutory Maternity Pay when my partner has to leave her job.
I was told because I get enhanced daily living with my PIP that I should be entitled to other support but so far I have been turned down at every avenue.
Other than Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction (which we receive), is there any other financial support I can get given the above information?
Thanks.

I'm afraid this is not something we deal with on the forum.
You are certainly not entitled to any Income Related benefits as they all take into account your partners working hours.
Try putting your information into one of the online benefit calculators.
