Can you tell me what happens next there was nothing in the bundle to explain this, I want a paper appeal do I phone and say so or am I to wait for something from the appeals court? All that was in this bundle was photocopies of my pip application and a copy of the letter from dwp to appeals court asking for a dismissal.

One of the questions you would have answered on the SSCS1 form you completed to request the appeal, was whether you wanted an Oral or Paper hearing, if you have changed your mind then you need to contact the Tribunal Service.

I rang the appeals court today about a paper hearing as the venue they gave me was over 60 miles away they were very nice and said they could hire a room in my local county court there would be a long wait but that's ok for me as I would rather state my case in person. So things are starting to look up.

Hi,
I was so worried about going to the tribunal stage. I had the same experience of the assessor telling untruths about what happened in the first assessment meeting. I decided to deal with it at the tribunal but the questions asked at the tribunal did not even go over mobility, possibly because I was obviously in a wheelchair given to me by the NHS (and even this was discounted by the first assessment). I found the three people at the tribunal to listen carefully and ask pertinent questions. My award went from 2 points on each count to 12 points overall for both the daily living component and the mobility one.
Don't give up - I did in 2015 as I just didn't feel I could challenge them any more. I am so glad I did appeal and go to a tribunal this year. Good luck.
