Hi neptune,
I would not expect the DWP to be aware if Maximus have tried to contact you.
I don't think DWP correspond by email but I have had an email conversation with Maximus in the past ( this was initiated by me, not by Maximus).

Thanks for putting my mind at rest knowing that the DWP would have note on their file if Maximus tried to call me so I know now neither the DWP or Maximus tried to call me as the DWP said there was no record of a call too me so I dont have to worry anymore that Maximus called me, but if Maximus called me and there was no answer they would call again wouldn't they the next day?. They wouldnt just call once and not again.

Have you considered the possibility that it was an unsolicited cold call, we get them all the time, they always withhold the their number.
