Retired January 2016 was created by Lynn wells
I started to receive my pension on 6th January 2016, I have a indefinite award and as yet still not received a letter to apply for PIP, I had a accident in 1989 at work and I am classed as 80% disabled but since then I have lots of other conditions. I've not seen anyone on the forum who have similar situations to myself. I am now 64 but not when PIP rules came in, been retired from work since my accident, has anyone of pensionable age gone straight over to PIP, thank you x

I'm afraid no ones goes "straight over" to PIP.

At some time in the future, it could be tomorrow and it could be several years, you will receive an invitation to claim PIP, you need to make a claim for the benefit and will almost certainly have to complete a PIP2 form.

It may be that due to the level of your disability that a face to face is not required, but I cannot guarantee this.

If you want to find out more about PIP then have a look at our PIP Claim guide on the following link.
