Does anybody know a way forward to getting an indefinate awards award with this condition .As this condition is incurable and can never improve please anybody with similar scenarios can give me advice on indefinate awards .

Hi K10,

There are no "Indefinite" awards for PIP I'm afraid.

The whole idea of PIP was to give PIP recipients regular re-assessments.

In general, PIP awards are for 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 years.

However, PIP does have awards for an "ongoing period" which is the nearest that you will get to a DLA indefinite award where you should not be reassessed for at least 10 years.

Ongoing PIP Awards are quite rare and only given where it is considered that there is little or no likely hood of the PIP recipient's medical conditions/resulting limitations/disabilities improving or getting worse.

So, to try and obtain an "Ongoing" award you would need to concentrate on proving the above and even then there is no guarantee.

Some people have tried appealing just the length of a PIP award, but I am not aware of any success rates with this.
