Have had several requests from DWP to supply details of my husbands private pension income. Am I correct in thinking that if my ESA is based on my previous NI contributions, they shouldn't really need his info? Thank you

There is a significant difference between your husband's pension affecting your ESA, which it appears not t and the DWP having a requirement to see the information about it.
You need to send them this information or you risk your payments being suspended.
