Hi....My f2f home assessment is Thursday 20th April. I have been waiting for a letter from my Orthopedic Consultant for a while as he has been away, So I could not send it with my PIP2

I received it today along with results of an MRI scan. I have sent them to DWP by Special Delivery asking them to add them to my file for my assessment.

Am I too late to have it added for next Thursday's assessment?

The letter from the Consultant has major evidence of my capability to walk. I just don't know if it will be taken into consideration either by DWP or the assessor. What do you think?

Obviously he will see me walk when I let him in, just covering every avenue.

One other thing (sorryx) Can I have some paperwork next to me when I am being assessed? I am talking about my reports. As I want to be able to refer to the letters and scans etc., just in case he has not got them on his file. They will be copies so he can have them.

Thanks again.....not long now :)

Given the Bank Holiday weekend I think it Is too late to send the letter to the Assessment Provider but you can give them a copy on the day and ask them to read it and include it in your file before they begin the interview.

It's OK to refer to your notes and paperwork, just make sure that you explain why you need to if you actually do on the day.

Good luck for next week.

Hi Gordon

Will the assessor have my paper file or will it be an online file on a laptop?

I am just wondering if he will have access on the day to all the letters and scan results that I originally sent with my PIP2.

Also from your knowledge of past experience with other members, will I be expected to
walk outdoors? indoors or other to do my walking test?

Thanks again

They should have a copy of your form etc., but I can't say whether it will be on paper or on their laptop, if the former then they may not bring it in your house.

They may ask yo to walk, they don't always, but if they do then it will be in the room that you decide that the assessment will be held in.
