You are perhaps being unduly harsh to the person you spoke to on the phone by labelling them a "clown".

In my last place of work the front line staff were usually the last to know about any changes and i suspect this guy really doesn't know any more than we do about the proposed changes.

Will the ESA form sent be different from the one I have then, because half way through it asks you which type you want to apply for. Here's a screen shot of what I'm talking about..

Just tick which one you think mate, the DWP will have all the info to sort out your claim.

Don't worry about it.

Just Me

Sorry, didn't read the notes properly, however, it still not a choice of one or the other.

If you believe that you are eligible to receive Contribution Based ESA, then you can just fill in the relevant sections, however, if you are subsequently found not to be eligible, and therefore have to claim Income Related ESA, then you will have to provide the missing information.

Well I've been on contributions based IB for several years now. I've worked a good few years before that to be able to do so.

I would hope that at least until next year I'd be still eligible to claim a contribution based version of ESA If I eitehr pass my medial first time (yeah like thats going to happen) or when I have to appeal and claim esa at assessment rate whilst I'm waiting for my tribunal.

I know that I would be able to claim income based benefits whilst I still have property siting on a back burner that I'm not living in, and I'm still too ill to move into or sell.
