ESA application - what to include was created by cmarie510
Hello Everyone,

After some confusion, I am for the first time applying for ESA. I've completed my over the phone interview and have received the document which has recorded the conversation for me to check, which I have done.

I have now gathered the documents that they require (and photocopied, just in case) and will put the originals together with s.a.s.e for mailing tomorrow.

My question is: I do have specialist letters (e.g. Neurologist and Spine Surgeon) that I could include at this point. Is that a good idea, given that they really haven't asked for them?

Thanks in advance for your help,
cmarie

Hi,

As long as you have copies you can send i would send them now and again with your ESA50 questionnaire as well.

Good luck,

Steve

Just a quick one whilst on this subject, when Steve says send the letters now, and then also when receiving ESA50 questionaire.

Would the early sending of any letters be to DWP DM on their first contact, or to ATOS, or both.

In terms of documents, ATOS don't get involved until the ESA50 is returned.

So in the example quoted, the additional evidence would be being sent to the DWP.

Thanks Gordon,

So I will send any relevant letters I have to DWP on first contact.

Sounds like something off Star Trek, not far wrong though. LOL!!!.
