Next question lol
I have just spoken to my surgery who seem to think if I write in asking for copies of my medical notes that when they are ready I have to go in to pick them up , or someone else possibly can pick them up. But I am unable to go to the surgery myself and do not want anyone else picking them up. Any thoughts on this please

You are going to have to compromise on this, what if you ask for the notes to be placed in a sealed envelope?

do you think they are not allowed to post them or is it the postage cost that causes a problem

If you are happy to trust your notes to the Royal Mail then it should just be a question of your paying for the postage.

I guess I have to trust Royal Mail with them when they get used as evidence and sent off with the claim form anyway. Also on the PIP form am I right in saying there is a bit where someone who knows you well can put down info? My family who know about my problems are anti benefit so I cannot ask them. M y son who lives with me knows me really well is on the autistic spectrum and so this seems inappropriate. My health problems are personal so I do not tell people. So I am thinking it will look bad on my claim to leave that bit empty

The form asks for contact information of any health care professionals who may be able to comment on your conditions and how they affect you.

Family and carers can make a statement on their observations of how your conditions impact on your daily living.

You don't have to provide either, but failing to provide a medical contact may impact on your claim, most claimants use their GP at the very least.

Non medical statements are optional and I would not expect there to be any significant impact if you did not supply any.
