It will depend on your personal circumstances.

Your SDA will be converted to Contribution Based ESA, this is likely to be higher than your SDA. If your circumstances allow, you will also receive a Income Related ESA top up to your ESA.

Factors that will effect whether you receive ESA(IR) willbe whether you have a partner and what other benefits you receive., it will be less likely if you are placed in the WRAG but not impossible.

The amount you receive will not be less that what you receive from your SDA and IS together.

Whilst it would seem likely you will receive ESA(IR) as a replacement for your IS, I can only repeat, it will depend on your personal circumstances at the time, I can't offer any guarantee. If you currently receive the Severe Disability Premium then it's quite likely.

Sorry to have to ask the question already coverd above but I have just wrang the incapacity transfer helpline at dwp to see if I could send further up to date evidence to back my esa claim up, I have been told this is not possible until they require further evidance is this correct. Also I have been told althogh I didnt need a face to face I could still be found fit for work as I was under the impression that it would be wrag or support group if I didnt need an assessment. Could you also tell me if the decision maker would contact my gp or specialist. Many thanks

Once an assessment is completed the DWP are entitled to refuse any further evidence.

You cannot be found Fit for Work without a face to face assessment being done, it is possible that the DM can refer you back to Maximus for one to be done, but I can't remember a single occasion where this has been done.
