Good evening friends, today brought good news.I have had my award changed on mandatory reconsideration from a standard daily living award ongoing to enhanced daily living and enhanced mobility ongoing.I requested it on the 23rd of November and new decision dated the 16th of December. They say the two letters of support I included from my specialist and my gp were passed onto a health professional for review and they acknowledged the huge impact my conditions have on every bit of my life so they can now award me it.
I should also mention I copied them in on my formal complaint to atos.I have also received their response after their investigation in which they state the health professional who did my assessment is 'no longer working in their business' and they advised the lead clinician who works alongside the complaints team has found inaccuracies and inconsistencies within my report and apparently they have advised the dwp of some changes to my report although this hasn't been mentioned at all in my decision letter. They concluded my complaint with an apology for the distress caused and stated it isn't their aim to cause upset and distress (really)?! In case this is relevant to other people going through the same nightmare my assessor was a male paramedic albeit not on the register.
Finally I want to thank you all for your dedication to the help and support you offer us all on here.I very seriously considered taking my own life during this whole situation and I found it a great comfort to come on this site.Don't let them win, keep fighting for the help you deserve and when you are treated poorly make your voice known even if it is just for your own sanity.Keep strong, you will get their in the end.
Merry Christmas to you all.
