Home assessments are offered when the Assessment Provider accepts that the claimant has problems serious enough to limit their ability to attend at their offices.
If you have a look at the PIP Claim guide then there is a section at the back that covers the assessment and the question you are likely to be asked.
Home assessments are not significantly different from those done at the AP's offices, you can choose where to have the interview and they won't ask to look around your home.
