Hi. My sister will be going through the process of dla to pip soon and I'm her appointee. She has severe learning disabilities, autism and speech and language problem. Will they need to do a f2f as my sister would not be understood or would she understand. And I would have to explain everything to Hp? Thank you

A face to face is required if there is insufficient information in and with the PIP2 for the assessor to make a paper hearing.
Does your sister have an appointee, if she does then they can speak on her behalf, if not then the assessor will be looking to her to answer her questions, you may be able to pre-empt this by explaining her problems at the start of the assessment, especially of she is unaware or her conditions or unable to explain them in detail.

yes I am the appointee so I need to fill the form in with as much information as I can give. Thank you for your advice

From my experience the best way to avoid a face to face is to obtain a letter from your GP stating that a f2f either away from home or even at home would cause untold distress.

Hi. Is it worth asking for a paper decision on the pip2 form, due to my sister not being able to communicate very well and lack of understanding. I will be sending evidence in and filling form throughly? Or will this go against her if i do. I'm her appointee and if there was f2f it would be me going over everything I have already filled in the form . Thank you
