I didn't include a letter from my GP and have had 2 successful ESA assessments/medicals. I was put straight into the support group both times, for which I was extremely grateful.

As for other medical evidence, I had only fairly old reports to submit because until last year I had only been under the care of my GP since the other specialists had done all they could and needed to free up clinic time for new patients who they could do something for. Maybe my old reports had helped though, who knows?

Good luck with your ESA. It's all so stressful but having now received copies of both of those medical reports, I can only say that both the doctor who did my first one and the specialist nurse who did the second, were at least looking at me and not their computer screens. For them to write that I looked 'so tired and unwell' was music to my ears when my husband read that to me. It was such a relief to know that somebody, other than my GP and my 2 new Consultants actually believes me lol Unlike the HP doing my f2f for PIP.

All the best for your application.

my husband esa50 , review was subbmitted, like you i had compelling medical evidence , with cover letter , which i submitted. He has been placed in the SG again and his GP has not submitted any medical evidence. Your new GP is confirming what he has in front of him, and thats fair enough , he is not saying , "i dont know" . i would put it in , because they ask at assessment , when did you last see your gp?

Thanks for all your replies very helpful.

I should have asked for those who sent in their ESA50 without a GP letter did anyone get put into the support group WITHOUT having to have a Face to Face Assesment either at home or at a medical centre?
