Answering your question slightly out of order.

You can submit whatever evidence you think helps your claim., although older evidence will tend to carry less weight than newer unless you can show that due to your conditions it is still applicable.

Medical evidence is great but it rarely directly addresses the PIP activities. I would start by speaking to your GP and Consultants to see if they are willing to provide anything in the first place, many doctors are now saying that won't provide any information for a benefit claim, of those left the majority say that they will only respond to a request from the DWP, unfortunately the DWP rarely make such requests.

If they are prepared to help then there is a document in the PIP section called PIP GP Notes, have a look at it and see whether this may help to provide some structure to anything they might produce.

Aye, that was the document I meant, thank you Gordon.

I have a very good GP and he is the only one in the surgery of 8 GP's that I see, he is still an "old-school" GP, listens and explains all my questions with a great amount of patience. As he gets all my reports from my specialists, and also keeps my medical records painstakingly up to date, I will make an appointment with him to discuss. I will also take the print outs of the pdf's DWP Medical (factual) Reports >>>>> "Advice to GP's Completing DLA and AA Factual Reports" or "Personal Independence Payment Factual Report" to him. He has uploaded my Epilepsy Seizures Diaries, and Daily and Mobility Diaries etcetera every time I get to see him (which is every 4 weeks) when I asked him, so I think I dinnae will have problems.

I think you may now struggle to score more than one point for this activity, all you can do is explain what you do in detail and any assistance that you need with the CET, also how your health would be affected if you were unable to carry out the treatment.

Also, see if you can find anything on the internet to re-inforce the view that this is a treatment rather than the application of a medicine, for example, is the application more than just applying creams to the skin.

Thank you Gordon:

I found a couple of references: one to be mentioning "'CPIP/1234/2015-Assistance applying an emollient cream may constitute ‘therapy’ for the purposes of PIP Activity 3."

Do you have any insight to this?

Is it also advisable to download and print out the "
Guidance for providers carrying out assessments for Personal Independence Payment (PIP)." i.e. in conjunction to Benefits and Work booklets, before filling out the form?
