PIP Appeal SSCS1 Form was created by Jane Doe
Just a couple of simple questions while i try to get to grips with the SSCS1 Form on behalf of my husband.

1. Is it acceptable for me to fill out this form and then for me to explain to him what I've written and him to sign it?
2. If we don't declare a representative at this stage can we change this later? (We're having trouble getting hold of the two people who might act as a representative)
3. When he attends the tribunal will he be allowed to take a representative with him as well as myself for moral support, or it is limited to one person?
4. Will someone be allowed to speak at the tribunal on his behalf? He has schizophrenia and has trouble verbalising his thoughts and speaking coherently, especially when under extra pressure.

P.S Thank you so much for this website and the guides available. Without all this we wouldn't stand a chance!

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Yes
4. It's at the discretion of the Judge on the day. If he is attending then they will want to hear his answers, but they must also take into account his conditions and the limitations that they place on him.
