My daughter is in a care home funded jointly by Health and Social Services and has been switched from DLA to PIP with enhanced rate for both living and mobility, the sting in the tail is that as she is in a care home or nursing home, they will not pay the living part!
I asked what benefit that she should apply for only to have reiterated that the living part would not be paid, they blanked on my request for reference to alternative payment and would respond to my observation that my daughter still had living requirements even in a care home.
Has anyone else experienced this and what can be done?

As far as I am aware the rules for DLA and PIP are the same, if your daughter Care Home is being funded by the NHS or her Local Authority or any other source of public funds then the Daily Living component is not payable.
So I would be concerned that she was receiving the DLA, based on what you have posted.
