Walking or moving? was created by graham
My wife had her face to face assessment and they claimed she could move between 20 and 50 meters. She can't walk - as definition is lifting feet at a regular pace - as she shuffles and frequently stops. The pip seems to use the terms interchangeably. Should she appeal?

That's a decision that only your and your wife can make.

To receive an Enhanced award, assuming she has no problems with Going Out, you will need to show that she cannot reliably stand and then move (walk) more than 20m on the majority of days.

Issues such as the speeds of her walking, her stopping and her gait come under the general heading of reliably, but the primary consideration will still be the distance so you will need to explain any restriction to this as well.
