Pip award came back but unhappy was created by Deana Mead
I just got my mandatory reconsideration letter for pip ensuring I knew i had been accepted and I was awarded enhanced daily living after proving the accessor lied and medical evidence proves I'm deserving. This is a massive relief after 6 months of hell emotionally. I suffer from mental illness I have bpd add severe anxiety an attachment disorder and depression and they try to scrutinise you but after paying to get the members only guides I managed god knows how but to win my mandatory reconsideration. Problem is the only awarded me 4 points for mobility now I claimed before 17th march before rules changed and if marking me properly on the old rules I should get 10 points as I cannot undertake an unfamiliar journey by myself which is 10 points they put I need prompting and assistance 4 points.... it's took me soooooo much stress upset and trouble to finally get achknowleged that I don't know if I can survive going to tribunal for the mobility. The case worker is going to ring me within 24 hours to speak to me and in some cases they can overturn it over the phone without appeal. It's messed my head up now cos the uncertainty causes anxiety. Don't get me wrong I'm over the moon I've been approved and got the daily living I deserve and cos it was so hard to get I kinda don't want to rock the boat but I feel like cheated out of it. HELP.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

I'm afraid it doesn't matter when your claim was started, it is the date of the Decision that will determine which rules were used.

However, if you expected to score for

(e) Cannot undertake any journey because it would cause overwhelming psychological distress to the claimant.

then this was not affected by the change in the Descriptors.

Whilst you should be able to argue that "cannot" does not mean "never" the standard you will need to meet will be far higher than the normal majority of days, can you show this? Can you show that you experience "overwhelming psychological distress", phrases such as "anxiety" may be insufficient to show this.
