Applied for PIP two months ago - heard nothing!!!! was created by Maya
Meanwhile my DLA high mobility is due to run out in 2 weeks (though I understand this continues until you hear back re. PIP).
I was very surprised not to hear very early - for example with a "medical".
But heard nothing.
Is this normal?
I live in Bournemouth.
Thanks.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

The PIP Transitional Regulations require that the claimants DLA remains in payment until four weeks after a Decision on their PIP claim is made. It's worth checking with the DWP that they have done this as you won't receive notification that it has been done, but it shouldn't be a problem.
There are currently significant delays in the PIP assessment process, we have gone from 2-4 week waits to 10-12 weeks or even longer in the last few months.

Thank you. I just called the dWP. They just said my application was "pending". Recommended for me to call ATOS, which I did, albeit reluctantly. ATOS too said it was pending, but said I could put myself forward for an cancellation for a medical, which I declined
So yes, there seem to be delays. Not looking forward to medical.
But was assured they had received it.
