Should I have informed DWP? was created by billhan
Hi,

A few months ago the O.T. people moved me to a mobility
scooter.

Suddenly worried that I should have informed the DWP at
the time?

Will this be a problem for ESA, and for DLA where they seem
to make such a fuss about your mobility?

Neither ESA nor PIP consider a claimants usage of a motorised scooter, they look at your ability to walk and for ESA, you ability to self-propel a manual wheelchair.

I'm assuming your conditions have deteriorated? Whilst I can't say that you do not have to notify the DWP, they aren't really bothered if the claimant fails to report a deterioration as only the claimant loses out.

Thank you Gordon.

When you put in lime that it makes sense.

Yes there has been deterioration and I do not
have strength to propel normal wheelchair.

Thanks for putting my mind at rest.
