I'm looking for advice for tomorrow if possible. I was originally on ESA support group until last year when I was reassessed and got NO points so I then appealed and won my case. The judge and Dr at appeal placed me on work related activity ESA group and tomorrow I go to the job centre for my first meeting with my social worker. three weeks ago I went to an NHS autism assessor arranged by my doctor in November and it has proven that I have had adult autism since an early age and this has never been diagnosed properly before. Now that I have this new evidence can I move to the ESA support group without reapplying and going through the whole 17 week assessment (and possibly appeal ) all over again .. Many thanks to anyone that replies,

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

To be placed in the Support Group you will need to meet one or more of the ESA Descriptors for this group, your new diagnosis does not mean that you will as I would have expected your last assessment to have taken into account the limitations that result from your conditions, even if not diagnosed.

If you can show a deterioration in your conditions since you were last assessed and that you reasonably meet the criteria for the SG, then you can contact the DWP, but it will require a reassessment of your claim, new ESA50 and almost certainly a face to face assessment, there is no way around this requirement.
