I am currently awaiting surgery for a hernia and have a fit note from my doctor. Despite being aware of my medical conditions, my work coach requested that I attend my appointment face-to-face. I asked for the meeting to be changed to a telephone appointment as a reasonable adjustment, but this request was denied, and now I have been sanctioned.

What is the best way to approach this situation?
