And in the situation where the DWP close the claim rather than the client, how often can you claim for esa, I think there are certain rules?

If the DWP find you Fit for Work then you cannot make a new claim for ESA unless you can show that your existing conditions have deteriorated or that you have a new condition such that it would be reasonably likely that you would receive an award, even then they may withhold payment until you have attended an assessment.

I have discovered there is a difference between ni credits and ni contributions.

Apparently you do not qualify for esa CB, if you only have credits, is this correct?

Did incapacity benefit/sda only pay credits?

Contributions are only available through employment or registered self-employment, benefits such as IB and ESA only pay NI Credits.

Yes, the claimant needs at least a years worth of NI contributions to be eligible for contributory benefits*. IB and SDA only made credits, as does ESA.

* there are special circumstances for some carers

Is that 1 years uninterrupted contributions? Even if you miss 1 week than that's invalid for the claim?

And 1 year is that only counted as a tax year April to April?

How much do weekly ni cost at present for self employed?
