If the DWP find you Fit for Work then you cannot make a new claim for ESA unless you can show that your existing conditions have deteriorated or that you have a new condition such that it would be reasonably likely that you would receive an award, even then they may withhold payment until you have attended an assessment.

Apparently you do not qualify for esa CB, if you only have credits, is this correct?
Did incapacity benefit/sda only pay credits?

Contributions are only available through employment or registered self-employment, benefits such as IB and ESA only pay NI Credits.

Yes, the claimant needs at least a years worth of NI contributions to be eligible for contributory benefits*. IB and SDA only made credits, as does ESA.
* there are special circumstances for some carers
