Hello,
I'm getting a home assessment by Atos on Thursday (17).
I've got Arthritis, I don’t want my joints ‘manipulated’ by anyone who isn’t a rheumatology expert as it can easily aggravate a joint or even cause arthritis to flare up in a healthy joint.
I if I refuse to let the inquisitor wiggle my joints I would fail the test ?
regards G

I would not expect the assessor to "wiggle" your joints but if you are concerned that any physical examination would cause you pain or distress then you can refuse just make sure you explain why.

I haven't seen this on the site – it might be there but I haven't found it.
I just found out today why the Ministry of Silly Walks haven't paid my PIP.
It’s because they are using their own definition of the phrase ‘Sheltered Housing’ not the standard definition that everyone ells including the council and housing associations uses.
So, if you tell them you live in sheltered housing they assume you live in an institution with personal care, and they wont pay !
The magic words to counter this evil false definition are ‘I live independently and I've got a tenancy agreement ‘.
