they really do want to have their cake and eat it dont they. Anyway whatever you do dont trust the honesty of the assessor or their report. If the recording is made for personal use and in the public interest. IE to show that atos assessors are lying and fabricating the report this would be a valid reason would it not?

The law surrounding the use of a covert recording is at best unclear, all I can say is that is legal for you to make the recording for personal use.
