We believe that the mail centre is open on Saturday but that will require Next Day Delivery which costs more and you need to check when the package needs to be at your local Post Office.

You should certainly mention that the GP report is being sent separately from the PIP2, you can request that they wait for it but I am afraid they are under no obligation to do so.

I will be sending report special signed delivery. However, how can I make sure that someone has filed this with his PIP2?

Thanks

You can't be 100% certain. this is why you might want to also send a copy to the DM - belt and braces.

I forgot to mention one more thing.

In my husbands GP records, there was the copy of the last DLA medical examiners report, where my husband was awarded life mobility and care. The report is really informative with comments such as" too disabled" in it. Since that report, which is about 10 years old my husbands health has got worse.

My question is, should I send a copy of this report in as I was told that they would be using hid DLA evidence as part of the PIP2 assessment.

Thanks

Our recommendation is to send any and all evidence that you consider to be relevant, such as this report. Whilst the assessor may refer to the previous DLA evidence, they may not and that assumes that the DWP actually still have a copy which they might not.

Thanks Gordon.

Sorry one more question. When they say DLA evidence, do they also mean the form you actually filled out???
I am sure a lot of people who kept a copy at the time of sending the DLA form kept a copy, but probably got rid of it when they were given a life time award and probably cannot remember what they had written.

Anyway, I did stress to the operator, I had no problems what so ever in the DLA form used, but want it on recorded that it should be used in conjunction with the PIP2 form and all other medical evidence provided to get an accurate and updated picture.

The operator was really nice and told me that she was tapping everything that I had said into the system and insisted that my husband understood that old DLA evidence was going to be used. I assured her it was not a problem, as he was awarded high care and mobility life time.

Regards
R
