I have adobe reader DC will it work with this or not I
I am struggling and have made mistakes on the form they have sent to fill in

So you are downloading it from the Gov.uk site?

When you do the download you should have the options save | save as | cancel.

Select "save as" this should then open a new window asking you where you want to save it, select somewhere that you will remember and the "ok".

Go to the directory and either double click on the file or right click and select "open".

make a quick change to the document and then select file | save as

type a new name for the file and then OK (this way you haven't changed the original file)

you can then continue to update the file as you need

OR

select file | print to print a blank copy.

Hi Gordan,

Thanks managed to do it.

I am still having issues with the descriptors got to send it back by next Thursday and worried about getting it done in time.

Amy has always had difficultly learning and understanding things from being a child
She has Polymicrogyria which as far as I know can cause some mental retardation and seizures she was diagnosed with this by her neurologist when he diagnosed her also with epilepsy and said she had excessive grey matter in the right hand side of the brain think in the frontal lobe and it cause Amy thought processes to get mixed up causing her to misunderstand often and be confused as well as her personality disorder making her take things the wrong way all the time I am really struggling this form is a nightmare. I should have gone to Citizens advice or somewhere for them to do it as its caused me significant stress because of whats at stake losing her benefits as I know she wouldn't cope with going jobcentre and looking for work and will be sanctioned regular and then lose her home

I am sorry you are finding this so stressful :(

Gordon usually advises writing a single sentence in response to each descriptor, then gradually expanding each answer. I don't know whether this approach would help?

Hi Gordan,

My daughters personality disorder has got worse over the last year or so with regards to behaviour she gets DLA for her epilepsy and gets it for care throughout the day and low mobility for help with going to unfamiliar places.

If her personality disorder has got worse over the last year or so is this classed as a change of circumstances as I have read something in the guide saying your signing this form and if your condition gets worse or improves you should notify them, also she was in hospital for 3 days in august 2015 did this also need notifying to DWP?. Amy doesn't understand about things like this and I didn't know things like this needed to be notified

She cant manage paperwork and would understand so is this a failure to notify of changes in circumstances she doesn't understand things like this?
After reading the guide and the form it says about notifying changes or she could be sanctioned and money recovered.

She has no comprehension of the seriousness and We didn't know things like this needed notifying. She hasn't even read the form and its me filling it in for her on her behalf then she was just going to sign

The DWP are not usually bothered about a claimant failing to notify them if there condition has got worse, although they can penalise the claimant by refusing to backdate the benefit when they do report the change, however, as a Change will result in an invitation to claim PIP and this does not provide backdating on a conversion, it won't matter.

I can't tell you not to report the change, but if you did not then I doubt it will be a problem.

Three days in hospital is not a problem, the requirement is for 28 days.

Hi Gordan thanks for the reply I appreciate it,

Its the ESA form I am completing but she also gets DLA which was mainly for her Epilepsy, She doesn't know about things like this
And I thought it was just for things like changes of address or working or similar. not going in hospital for a few days or her conditions worsening I am now panicking thinking she could be sanctioned as she or we havn't told them when it happened
Her Personality disorder was also diagnosed around the same time and I sent the letters we had from the neurologist when initially claiming in 2011 and again when reviewed so I think they know about her personality disorder but the claim was initially given for her epilepsy

She went in hospital in August 2015 and because of abuse she had suffered and after taking a overdose in July then she had therapy until January this year. But because of her on going situation with regards to her son and her partner taking him and then her losing full custody her conditions are deteriorating again

If I have included information about the hospital and her conditions now getting worse will this be used against her and them trying to recover the money
