I sent my PIP reveiw form with all the the supporting eveidence to DWP by Special Delivery and According to the Royal Maill tracking it was deleivered on the 19 April 2022. I had also indicated on my reveiw form my preference for a paper based assessment giving them my reasons as to why this was appropriate in light of having had repated face to face assessments even though my condition is degenerative and unlikely to improve as my GP has stated in several of this letters.
However, I was thinking of telephoning DWP to enquire about the progress but I am worried they might pressure to attended a face to face assessemnt straight away and give me an appointment which I may find it difficult to refuse.
Is it normal for the Review to take this long without any texts or letter from DWP to at least advice that they are in receipt of the form and are currently looking at it. I am also worried that they may have lost my forms and evidence hence no communication?
Can anyone offer any advise?

I know this feels as if it is a long time when you are waiting, but it isn't. Unfortunately, I can't give you an exact timescale but several members have been told it's at least eight weeks before it's decided what type of assessment a claimant might have. Some people have waited less time and many have waited for more. If you phone to enquire about the status of your claim - you will speak to a call-handler - they aren't interested in you as a person and don't take part in the processing of your claim - so don't worry that you will be pushed into having a face to face assessment. This is dealt with by someone else.

my pip review form was received on the 1st of march 2022, and i have not heard a thing yet, i am going to leave it until next week and if still not heard will ring up for a update, hope that helps
