I have received pip standard living and mobility. My pip due to run out in Feb 22 after getting mobility on appeal 2020. Had assessment over phone declined mobility 4 points Mr over phone and again declined. Received 2 separate letters both dated 21 April 2022, One said will still get living the second on cancelling the lot as over 64.
They know full well am over 64 and have sent them a letter telling them you have cancelled even though have to be allowed 30 days to appeal. Because they send to Council no longer entitled have lost allowances and will be paying full rent and 75% council tax. Am demented.
Called dwp Monday in great distress to be told they are 2 weeks behind and will communicate regarding appeal soon.
Will I benefit from using a benefits agency to represent me???
The first thing you need to do is get a copy of the assessors report called a PA4, once you get the report you can see why you were turned down. I usually go through the report with a highlighter highlighting any errors.
As you have applied for a MR your next stage would be to appeal the decision which you can do online, you usually have one month from the MR decision date, you do need your MR decision letter when you apply on line.
I do not understand what 64 has to do with anything as you are below state pension age which is 66 and rising.
As for your last question, it would depend on the competence of the agency.
