Hi,please could you advise me on the following: I receive IR ESA support group, which lists payments as,living expenses, extra money because of the disability income guarantee (which I think is also known as,enhanced disability premium) and extra money as I am in the support group.I have been reading about "will you be better or worse off under UC" and it seems there is a grey area. This is the information on many newspaper sites; The DWP estimates ESA claimants who are in the support group but who do not get the Severe Disability Payment to be better off on Universal Credit. Households who get ESA and receive the Severe Disability Premium and the enhanced disability premium, are expected to be worse off.
So,as I do not receive the severe disability payment, will I be better off ?
We have to apologise for not answering sooner but a number of mods have been away including myself, I am now working my way through the holding pen, looking at the oldest post first.
