hi,
i know people have put posts up about this, but i would like an opinion my situation, i got the letter Saturday with a return date of 12th July, i decided to phone the DWP up to ask a question regarding my previous award in august 2016, after being sent from pillar to post by people who said they couldn't answer my question, I finally spoke to someone who could give me advice, the question was the 2016 application form was vey long, i told him would my answers on this new application form was much simpler, just basically has your condition got worse stayed the same or improved, what aids and what help i need etc, i am sure you will know the new review form is much simpler, I asked him if i just answered the questions, would my 2016 application be referred to, he was 100% sure it would be and he was actually looking at the 2016 form on his computer, i told him how worried i was and i couldn't give a date when my condition got worse, as it has declined over 6 years, i couldn't put a date on my reply, he told me it was ok to say that this was the case, and although he couldn't guarantee it, he said i should not worry about getting my pip renewed as i have so many health conditions, and he could not see a scenario where it would be turned down as he had seen hundreds of applications and i should not worry as this would be very much the likely outcome, i have been on benefits since 2003, and nearly all my conditions are degenerative, i would like the opinion of this statement as filling out the form this time would be so much easier , as the questionnaire is much simpler, he even extended the return date to 26/7/2022, he seemed genuine, any opinions welcomed, thanks in advance, i am also IN receipt of ESA contribution based for the same time i received DLA/PIP

Hi freefee

You are talking about a PIP review form which is slightly thinner than a PIP form .

We do not recommend that you just tick a box stating no change, we would recommend that you answer a review form as if it was a new claim, I would doubt the assessor would look at your old form as they are assessing you as you are now, but they could.

It is perfectly OK for you to type your answers and attach them as extra pages to the form, just make sure that each page has your full name and NIN at the top and that they are numbered, we recommend "page X of Y" so that it is easy to see if pages are missing. Make sure you clearly mark on the form where your answers are and on the relevant page that you are answering question X.

Attach the pages to the back of the form using a staple or make a hole in the top left corner and use a treasury tag, string or ribbon to the form. The pages need to be easily detached so that they can be scanned by the DWP.
