Hello. I now receive my state pension, I have been taken off esa, and have had my Reduced Earnings cut right down. I still receive pip standard rate. With me claiming pip standard rate do I automatically receive pension credits if not are any benefits I receive mean's tested? are savings taken into account if I were to apply for pension credits?. Thank you.
The short answer is NO, you do not get Pension Credit automatically you have to apply for it; www.gov.uk/pension-credit
Pension Credit is means tested and a number of factors are taken into consideration, you need to contact your local Welfare Rights Organisation who can take all your circumstances into consideration; you can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies. advicelocal.uk
