My PiP was extended till May 2023 but today I received the review paperwork/ questionnaire.
This is approx 10 months prior to end date.
Is this normal timeframe ?
Is it more positive to receive review paperwork/ questionnaire rather than having a face to face interview.

Yes it is normal, prior to Covid-19 claimants were usually contacted 1 year before the end date, this got reduced to 6 months but we have seen it increase .
I would treat a review questionnaire as if it was a new claim, if there is not enough room to write your answer then add extra pages. It is perfectly OK for you to type your answers and attach them as extra pages to the form, just make sure that each page has your full name and NIN at the top and that they are numbered, we recommend "page X of Y" so that it is easy to see if pages are missing. Make sure you clearly mark on the form where your answers are and on the relevant page that you are answering question X.
Attach the pages to the back of the form using a staple or make a hole in the top left corner and use a treasury tag, string or ribbon to attach them to the form. The pages need to be easily detached so that they can be scanned by the DWP.
