Hello. I was sent pip renewal for last April 2021. I returned form and changed my claim to include mobility this time. I had a telephone interview in May. I now have recieved my new award, with reduced care and full mobility. I now find out that Pip are not backdating my award. I have waited over 12 months to find out whether I would recieve mobility. I though it would all be backdated. ? Can they do this? Thank you
If you contacted DWP for a change of circumstances and you are successful then your claim is backdated from the date of the phone call.
As you report you completed a review form then your claim will be from the date of the new decision not from when you received or posted back the form.
