pip renewal form royal mail was created by cw12
i wonder if anyone could give me any advice. my pip renewal form was filled in and posted by my social worker on wednesday 2 november. it has to be back by the 8th november. im really stressed because as my social worker sent it it was standard post and not recorded delivery. do you think it will reach dwp in time. im unsure how long post takes. thanks

This is what the Post Offices says:

"You can send letters by 1st class or 2nd class post. Letters sent 1st class are usually delivered in one working day and those sent 2nd class within 3 days, but neither are guaranteed. "

Dear cw, I understand your concern. All you can do is call to ask if it has been received, or ask your social worker to do so. please get your social worker onto B&W, as I think they would be less casual about clients' forms if they read all that is said on here!
For future reference or anyone else, if the prepaid envelope is taken to the post office counter along with the form in a different envelope, they should accept it as part payment for a recorded delivery service - so not much extra to pay.
