Hi, I wonder if anyone can reply....or give me advice please?
I have severe left side Sciatica pain and have been referred to a musculoskeletal service and have been waiting quite some time, i have been unable to move around without this terrible pain, I cant stand for more than a few minutes at a time , im constantly in pain and Ive been like this for 10 months. I am nearing 66 yrs old and also suffer from Anxiety, my Doctor has confirmed this in a letter. I dont see my condition in the list provided but I need support badly. Should I try for pip or am I wasting my time?
If you are not sure whether or not to apply for PIP the use the self-tester; PIP self test
You need to apply for PIP before you reach state pension age, if you do not then apply before you get your state pension then you will be too late to apply for PIP, you will then have to apply for Attendance Allowance, with Attendance Allowance there is no mobility component, it is purely based on care needs.
Remember PIP is not based on a condition but on how a condition affects you.
