Hello , I have my pip telephone assessment next Monday and it’s already stressing me out . I applied for pip last year and went through to a tribunal in the end . It was the worst experience I’ve ever experienced. I would have been questioned less for committing a crime. I’ve had new diagnosis confirmed now , autism, ADHD, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue. I know last time the report that came back had hardly no mention of what was said in the telephone consultation. I’m not good at expressing myself. Any useful tips would be appreciated x
You need to ask them to record the call, and if you're able to, we always suggest that people do their own recording.
I would also look at the Guide to PIP claims and reviews. You will find information on what types of questions you could be asked at interview - page 128 onwards. benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/pip
Don't let them hurry you. If you can't answer a question - don't guess at it - just say you don't know or can't think. You've already had a bad experience - so you know that not all assessors are empathetic. I really hope that it goes well this time.
