ESA to UC transitional - was created by FloMcF
I was told by the help line to send of the UC application on 13th May, as it was due in by 15th March. There is a bit says ..up till 19th March somewhere in the letter? I did it on the 13th, for whatever reason it kept telling me the on line verification was in correct , so I had to click on call back for verification. They said they would ring in the next few days in the Journal. Then I got a message that they would ring Monday the 19th. My worry is, will this affect the transitional payment , as it's still highlighted I have yet to agree it all? I had to have an advocate help with it all, it's far too complex for my issues, the whole system of it. regards

Hi FloMcF
If you look at your Managed Migration letter it will tell you the deadline date. Are you saying it was the 15th May and you submitted the new UC claim on the 13th May?

Oh sorry, tired old me,
I meant due in 15th May. not March?
Today I received a letter , deadline extended to June. I have no verification call till the 19th. What chaos might this cause to the transition please?
regards

Hi FloMcF
Your Transitional Protection is based on your previous income from the old Benefits and as such is protected. So there should be nothing to worry about on that account.

Okay,
thanks David,
I see so many people on forums that are subject to DWP errors with it, just worry I do.

Hi FloMcF
The DWP are rushing through 1 million new UC Migrations in 14 months as arranged by the last Tory government. So there are bound to be mistakes.
