Tribunal service 3 months to open post?

Birmingham Tribunal Service replied essentially saying that at that time (February 2011) they had so much post that they were doing it on a first come first served basis and that May was when they got round to mine. Considering they allow you to still send in evidence 7 days before a tribunal is heard I find it incredibly difficult to believe.
Obviously this is a ridiculous response and I'd love to know if anyone else had this problem or not as the case may be.
I also would like to know how to go about finding out if this was a true response? Do I ask for statistics etc?
Thanks

I wrote and complained that I had received confirmation of a change of venue 3 months after I had requested it.

Hi R,
The Appeals Tribunals are really gridlocked at the moment, and I fear it can only get worse.
Members have posted saying they have suffered problems such as last minute cancellations etc.
Is this link to the Justice website of any help?. :

I know what you mean about gridlocked yet they managed to respond to further evidence sent more recently within a couple of weeks and my complaint within a week so I really would like to know if indeed it really got as bad as they said it did in February. Can I ask them to prove it?

Thanks for the link, it will be helpful if I get nowhere with the manager either. Hopefully I won't need it.

Hi R,
You could try, I don't know whether you would receive a worthy answer.
Have you thought of contacting your M.P. you can e-mail him/her from this website. :
