There may be a gap in payments, this will be dependant on when the GL24 is returned, whether there is a valid Fit Note covering the period your friend from the date of the Decision letter, and how it all fits into the DWP payment system.
If there is a gap in payments, your friend can apply for a Crisis Loan, there is information on the following link

Sorry me again, i am confused, i have filled in the GL24 and it says on there letter and i quote:
If you appeal against the decision that you are not entitled to ESA following the WCA you maybe able to to recieve ESA until the appeal is decided,
We can only consider paying you this upon reciept of a valid appeal ????, and you may need to supply us with med certs while appealing. My question is her IB is stopping on 18/11/2011 what does she do for money if has to wait for them to say she can get assessment phase ESA is this right ????
Hi SC,
This is why it is important to get the G.P. to issue a med cert (sick note) to cover the period from the 18/11/11, and send it to the DWP (keeping copy) with the GL24, ASAP.

It's the one in Glasgow, you should never send anything to a JCP unless specifically requested to do soThe address on the letter i have to send the GL24 to is in Glasgow, her local JCP which if she would have to sign on for example is in Wandsworth. i know i sound thick please forgive me, which do i send fit notes to ?
