Esa Medical

This is my first time posting so please excuse me if I haven't done it correctly!
I just wanted a bit of advice, I had a spinal fusion the beginning of July 2011 and have been on ESA since May 2011. Things haven't gone as planned as I'm still in considerable pain, problems with walking and general mobility, on pain killers and have recently had blood tests to find out if there is more to my problem. I am also waiting for ref feral to physio and consultants - but that's another story!!
My main question is - I was wavered my last medical as I was fresh out of hospital but received my latest ESA form in Oct 2011 and sent it back by the 5th Dec ( sent recorded delivery), I still have not heard anything regarding a medical. I know there might be a bit of a hold-up with Xmas but does anyone know how long I will be left worrying about the up and coming medical, it's driving me round the bend!
Thankyou in advance for any help.

Hi S220,
To answer your question, there is no definitive time between a claimant returning their ESA50, and receiving correspondence back regarding a medical or indeed an award.
Many members have reported hearing nothing for over 12 weeks.
As long as you are sure that ATOS have received your ESA50 by the deadline given, the ball is in their court.
Of course you could phone up and make enquiries if you wish.
