Having completed an ESA50 for reassessment in December and sending in GP and pyschiatrist reports explaining that my condition had deteriorated and could i be considered for the support group, I was invited to attend an ATOs medical. Between receiving my ESA50 and being notified of my medical date, I recieved a letter from the DWP that my ESA contribution based was due to end because of the 12 month time limit. 2 days before my medical date, i received a telephone call advising me that, following a fax from my GP, I no longer needed to attend my medical. I am not good on the telephone because of my mental health condition and was unable to question the caller further. It has been 3 weeks (including the easter bank hoidays)since the call and I have heard nothing further. Can anyone shed any light on what this means?
If you have been excused a medical it is reasonable to assume that the DWP Decision Maker is happy that they have sufficient information to make a Decision on your claim, however, there is no way to pre-empt what that Decision might be.
Is there anybody who could call the DWP on your behalf, you might need to authorise the DWP to speak to your representative, but they should be able to deal with the bulk of the call for you.
Good luck
Gordon
