I got a friend to print the old November 2011 guide out for me. Do I now have to print out the whole of the new guide or are just certain pages altered in which case I will only have to print those out.

I'm sorry but there is no "update list".
The only other suggestion I can make, is to compare the printed version against the new online version, page by page, and then print off any that are different.
