Has any been asked to attend an ESA medical at the age of 63? Mine is coming up shortly, I have asked to have it recorded and they have already cancelled it once, the day before I was due to go. I have got long term back problems osteoarthritis in both knees, use of only one arm and I am at present suffering from severe depression, for which I am taking prescribed medication. I have also seen an ICATS HCP who has provided me with medical evidence in the form of a letter, I also have a supporting letter from my GP. What are my chances?

Hi,
If you search the forum you will find quite a few cases of members only months away from retirement being asked to attend medicals.
As to assessing chances of being called for a medical, it is impossible to say. Obviously completing the ESA50 to a high standard and sending in good supporting evidence may reduce the chances but even then it does seem somewhat of a lottery at times.
