Hi today I have recieved a letter telling me an appointment has been made for a compliance officer to attend a visit at home. Can anyone tell me what this could be about or what a compliance officer is.Thanks
He or she is someone who makes sure that you are obeying the rules with regard to your benefit. He or she will check you are getting what you should be getting and may well ask to look at things like savings, whether you are doing any work, permitted or otherwise.
If you have a partner or not, that you are getting the right amount of benefit,that kind of thing. They basically check that your claim is all above board etc.
