My wife called DWP today, Monday 31st October , to check if the letter confirming her phone call regarding the 5m distance to the car, had arrived.
After going through security checks they said that there was an Award Notice on her file. The Award Notice says that my wife has been awarded Enhanced care and Enhanced mobility for an "ongoing period".
They said would be in the post in 7 to 10 days.
My wife has been on low rate care for dla for about 20 years because we were to worried about re-applying for a higher rate of dla care.
Well at last the stress is over. I am glad we corrected the error on the distance asap. We will never know if that helped?
At least we won't have to send the motability car back as this is the only way my wife can leave the house.
Thank you for all your advice.
Do you know when she is likely to be reassessed if the award is for an ongoing period?
Thank you again.
Good luck to everyone else with their PIP journey.
Regards Peter and his wife

I'm afraid you need to wait for the Decision Letter.
